Is Your Makeup Accidentally Aging You?
Has this ever happened to you?

You’ve just done your makeup, you lean in to have a closer look at your work and this nagging thought creeps in… “Is this makeup making my skin look worse instead of better!?”

“Do I look older? Do my eyes actually look better? Or is all of this actually just making things worse???”

If you’ve had these thoughts it’s probably not your imagination.

Makeup is this incredibly magical thing, when wielded expertly it is glorious, pure magic. But makeup also has a dark evil side 😈, her evil twin sister if you will.

When makeup is used improperly it can actually make things worse instead of better. Skin can look older. Wrinkles more pronounced. Features smaller instead of bigger.

Now let us stop right here, take a moment and be very upfront. There is absolutely nothing wrong with ageing skin. Wrinkles are beautiful and are a sign of a life well-lived. However, the purpose of makeup is not to exaggerate the appearance of ageing skin (well, unless perhaps you are a broadway actor), but to enhance and beautify.

Check out this week’s video for the top 3 most common makeup mistakes and forge ahead confidently without that nagging little voice of doubt no more!

I hope you find these tips helpful, please be sure to pass these along to help make sure no friend of yours ever accidentally meets makeups evil twin!

Big hugs,
Adrienne
